Hi my name is Dani Krost, and I didn’t think this was the path for me.

I am 22 years old living in Johannesburg, South Africa. I graduated from King David Linksfield in 2019 and now I am studying BA Graphic Design at Vega School.

If you had asked me 3 years ago what I wanted to study, I would have said Teaching. I cannot express how glad I am that I stumbled upon Graphic Design because now I am in love with it, and I can’t see myself doing anything else.

Studying Graphic Design at Vega School has helped find my creativity and shown me how to turn this into unique designs. Vega has also taught me to be a lateral problem solver and an innovative thinker.

My biggest challenge is being dyslexic, but it is also my greatest strength. Most of my life people have told me that I would not excel because I am dyslexic, and I struggle to read. But I was fortunate enough to go Bellavista School where I was taught how to be resilient and learn ways to use my challenges as advantages and there they showed me that I can I achieve anything. This can be seen through my work as you can see that I persevere through this challenge.

One of my biggest achievements in life is that I am a 2nd Dan Black Belt in JKA Karate. I have been doing karate for 16 years and this has taught me many important skills. It has taught me discipline, dedication, commitment, and leadership. I utilised these skills in my degree and every aspect of my life that i can bring them into.

I would describe myself as an honest, creative, dedicated person who is passionate about design and photography.
